I'm Chris,
nice to meet you.

About Me

I’m a Senior UX Designer at Apple, currently based in Austin, Texas, originally from San Pedro in Los Angeles. I graduated from California Polytechnic University, Humboldt in 2019 with a bachelor degree in Computer Science, where I began bridging my technical foundation with a growing passion for design.

Growing up in Los Angeles, I was constantly surrounded by street art, graffiti, and skate culture. The bold typography, color, and expression found throughout the city sparked my early interest in design. From freeway walls to neighborhood streets, I became drawn to how visuals could communicate identity, emotion, and story. That environment, combined with my experience skateboarding and being immersed in creative communities, shaped the way I see and approach design today.

My path into UX wasn’t traditional, but it was intentional. What started as an appreciation for visual expression evolved into a deeper focus on crafting thoughtful, human-centered experiences. Today, I design with a strong emphasis on clarity, usability, and impact transforming complex systems into intuitive and meaningful products.

Sponsored Ultra Runner

Outside of work, I’m an ultra runner sponsored by 1st Phorm and Texas Outlaw Running. Over the past few years, I’ve pushed my limits across distances, achieving a sub-3 hour marathon, a sub-7 hour 50-mile ultra, and most recently completing the Rocky Raccoon 100-mile race in 23 hours and 30 minutes. These experiences have deeply shaped my mindset around discipline, patience, and resilience. Running, much like design, is a constant process of pushing boundaries, learning through discomfort, and refining over time.

I’m also passionate about creating content and sharing my journey to inspire others, especially those who come from similar backgrounds. My path hasn’t been linear, and that’s exactly why I share it: to show that growth, discipline, and change are possible no matter where you start. Coming from a humble upbringing with immigrant parents, I’ve learned the value of persistence, hard work, and staying grounded. Those experiences continue to shape how I approach both life and design, showing up consistently, embracing the process, and building something meaningful along the way.
